Teaming with WSP and KS Engineering, WT has performed network simulation using VISSIM software to evaluate the impacts of Open Road Tolling (ORT) on traffic operations and safety at the Queens Midtown Tunnel (QMT). Focusing on a few areas of concern, WT staff conducted alternative analysis after validating the existing conditions and recommended future development strategies.

As part of the Redevelopment Master Plan for JFK Airport, extensive traffic data collection, capacity analysis and network simulation were performed. Specifically, WT has conducted Highway Capacity and Intersection Analysis for gateway highways to the JFK Central Traffic Area (CTA) and terminal areas. WT has also performed network simulation and traffic analyses using Synchro and Vissim software.
