Feature Project

The objective of this project is evaluate and improve the safety condition along Ocean Parkway, a multilane highway with access roads, bike lanes and sidewalks on both sides, located in Brooklyn New York. WT has collected continuous traffic counts at around 50 locations along the corridor using ATR machines. WT also collected Turning Movement Counts (TMC) including bicyclists and pedestrian for 15 intersections. WT conducted runtime simulation along both the main and service roads along the corridor utilizing floating car techniques. All data were processed and applied to the traffic evaluation and safety improvement analysis.

WT collected Turning Movement Counts (TMC) at more than 30 locations in Central Terminal Area (CTA) of JFK airport and its surround areas. Utilizing commercially off the shelf technologies and recorded videos, WT has collected the turning movement counts (TMC), vehicle classification including for hire vehicles (FHV) by minute or 15 minute intervals. The tally results were critical for roadway level of service analysis and future improvement assessments. The WT team has conducted signal optimization, network simulation and capacity analysis using the data collected.
